Capturing the Blues ... and Greens!

Cutting rough stone material can be challenging. Decisions have to be made. Do I slice it here .... or there? Will the color be enhanced or lost as I cut and polish. We value and respect each and every rough stone. We strive to cut the material to preserve the maximum weight retention while showing the best the stone has to offer. This challenge is often very rewarding, however, occasionally disappointing. We work hard to "make the most of the least". In this case, the challenge was to capture the green bands with the rare blue highlights running through Chrysocolla Quartz matrix.
