The Legacy Collection features original Bowman Originals jewelry from private collectors, estates, and select archival holdings. Some pieces are one of a kind, while others are rare retired designs that have not been offered for years. Each piece is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets the Bowman Originals standard—because true craftsmanship does not fade with time.
The vitreous enamel featured in Bowman Originals designs is created by Rowann, Ned Bowman’s longtime assistant, protégée, and life partner. Using traditional enameling techniques, she meticulously places each grain of finely ground glass by hand before firing the piece in a high-temperature kiln. Many pieces require multiple firings, with temperatures ranging from 1,500° to 1,800° Fahrenheit, to achieve the depth, color, and durability for which Bowman Originals enamel is known. A true perfectionist, Rowann patiently repeats this process until every detail meets her exacting standards.
