When you commission a custom piece at Bowman Originals, you’re working directly with Ned Bowman himself—an artisan with national and international DeBeers design awards and a lifetime of experience at the jeweler’s bench. Every piece is made link by link, right in our Sarasota workshop, using heirloom-quality materials like solid sterling silver, 18k gold, rare minerals, and vitreous enamel.

How the Custom Process Works

We keep the process highly personal and straightforward:

  1. Initial Consultation: Share your vision, inspiration, or occasion. This can be done in person, by phone, text, or online.

  2. Concept & Design: Ned sketches a design, if neccessary, tailored to your preferences and suggests materials that suit your piece.

  3. Approval & Estimate: Once you approve the concept, we provide an estimated timeline and pricing. A 50% deposit is required to begin the order.

  4. Handcrafting: The piece is created on the bench, one detail at a time. Updates are provided as progress is made. Patience please - precision work takes time and concentration.

  5. Completion & Delivery: After final approval of the finished piece, and the balance is paid in full, including sales tax, and your custom piece is shipped or ready for pickup. There is no charge for shipping USPS PRIORITY within the continenetal US.
