Part of the  Legacy Collection, this necklace represents a unique opportunity to own a rare original Ned Bowman design. Vivid Cobalt Blue Vitreous Enamel contrasts beautifully with cool Sterling Silver and the rich warmth of 18k Yellow Gold accents that flow through the center of the necklace. The three-row chain converges at a striking carved Cobalt Blue glass centerpiece depicting Alexander the Great, framed in Sterling Silver and highlighted with 18k Yellow Gold details.

The vitreous enamel in this necklace is the artwork of Rowann, Ned Bowman’s longtime assistant, protégée, and life partner. Using traditional enameling techniques, she meticulously placed each grain of finely ground glass by hand before firing the piece in a high-temperature kiln. These links required multiple firings, with temperatures ranging from 1,500° to 1,800° Fahrenheit, to achieve the depth, color, and durability for which Bowman Originals enamel is known. A true perfectionist, Rowann patiently repeated this process until every detail meets her exacting standards.

The necklace is 16 inches long. The three row Laurel Leaf chain is 1 1/8 inch (29mm) wide. The center piece is approximately 1 3/4 inch (45mm) square and 3/4 inch (19mm) high. 

This necklace has been inspected, cleaned, and polished and prepared for its next chapter in life. The necklace is secured with a bayonet clasp.
